Welcome to If Jules Could Talk. I'm Carol Walton, the Voice of Jewelry.

I'm here in the Pernisi store, which has been here since 1971, a stone's from the famous

Las Scala, and it's been a unique meeting point in the city for fashionistas and jewelry for Cianades

alike. This is where they meet when they're in Milan. They've got an exceptional collection

of antique jewels, objects, buckles, evening bags, snuff boxes from the 18th century to 1950.

And I'm here with Emmanuel Panisi, who is fourth generation of the family.

Thank you for hosting us today.

I'm very pleased, thank you.

And the sun's shining in Milan and we're looking at

jewels, so it's all good. Yes, I agree. And I was some, you've just published a book

about the collection and about the history of your family collecting. So will you just give us a

little background? Yes, it actually was my grandfather who opened the shop.

The Penisi's story starts with him because the story back was on his maternal side, on his mother's side.
