I don't think you have to do things for money anymore. Correct. What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Filmroom podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius. And yesterday we had my favorite press conference of the season, the opening presser with Rob Polinka and the coach. This is J.J. Reddick's first one of these. They sat down for about 35 minutes, and, Dee, there's so many articles and columns and

opinions and written about the Lakers that it's refreshing to get to sort of the primary

sources of the thought leaders of the basketball of the Lakers.

Sit down, ask them questions, they talk a little bit.

There's a little feedback, right, going in both directions that I really like. I wish it happened more often. And I think you can get a lot of insight into where the Lakers are at as a result. And so in the intro, Rob Polenka, you know, he makes his opening statements. And it was just talking about how virtually everyone showed up for involuntary, which is a misspeak.

We'll get back to in a moment, but how virtually everybody showed up for the involuntary workouts,

and there was just great energy in the building, great buy-in from the players, trying to implement

some of the advancements in player development and all of that. Now, of course, there's a certain

political element to this. He's going to gas up what the organization is doing. It echoes what I've heard as well in terms of

the buzz around the gym. And this is one of the big, one of the first tent polls for me, D, was

do we have that kind of summer where everyone is there and locked in, everyone who can be at least?

And so, Poling was talking about how it's been fun times in the gym over the course of

this summer.
