I don't think you have to do things for money anymore. Correct. What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Filmroom podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius. And today we have our first really official act of the 24-25 Lakers season as there is a press conference with Rob Polinka and JJ Redick at 1 p.m. Pacific time.

It'll be both on Spectrum locally here in L.A. and then broadcast live on the Lakers YouTube channel.

So check that out if you can. I think it's super informative. But we got a little sneak preview.

Reddick did an appearance on the low post in which he covered a lot of different topics,

one of which I want to focus on, and that we were talking yesterday about the starting

lineup, right, in this idea of a battle between Vando or Rui, but Vando being out, making

it kind of an obvious choice.

And Reddick came right out and said, starting lineup's going to be Dilo, Austin, Rui,

LeBron, N.D., which under the circumstances,

I think, is the obvious choice. However, there's nothing that Reddick said over the course of

the summer, and then even in the presentation of that, that has given me any indication at all

that if he had his druthers, if everyone was healthy, it would be Vando instead, which I think is

our shared position.

And so I do think it's a data point about what Reddick values and what maybe it's a data
