Sometimes it can take a little while to begin to feel stillness to the point where you

actually want to sit down to meditate.

I know for myself, I didn't really want to sit down and meditate until I had begun to slow

down with sipping tea when I lived in Japan for five years and I was going to slow down with sipping tea when I lived in Japan for five years and I worked

for a company there and we would have about three tea breaks throughout the day and my fellow

co-workers, I was the only foreigner there, would sit down and just really relax.

They wouldn't talk or chat. They would sit down and meditate and sip the tea and they

wouldn't be scrolling through their phones, really just slowing down and connecting to their

inner stillness. And after I started to do this for a while, then I started to want more.

But it really took me some time to experience what stillness felt like in my body.

while we're going through this pandemic right now

because you're likely spending a little more time alone or in one place,

not going around so many people as you normally did pre-pandemic. And so you may begin to notice your
