But we'll start by talking about one last piece of offseason business that's lingering for the New York Jets. And that is extending the contract of Wright Guard Joe Titman.

This was a very active offseason for the New York Jets.

They were among the league leaders spending in free agency trying to upgrade their roster.

That's no big surprise.

The roster had quite a few holes in it starting the offseason, and the Jets had a lot of salary cap space.

The Jets also made three picks in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft.

Then after the draft, they turned to internal affairs, namely they extended the contract of running back Breeze Hall.

Hall was set to play the 2026 season on the franchise tag.

The Jets were able to work out a three-year contract with

their running back. And that was the right move because keeping Brees Hall on the franchise

tag really didn't make a lot of sense for the Jets. Having Brees for just one more year,

that's not really in the Jets' interests. Jets are going to do their best in 2026. I'm not saying

that they're going to give up on the season now, but realistically, this team is building for

2027 and beyond. So I think the Jets wanted to make sure Brees Hall was part of the team for that

horizon. Brees Hall on the team just for 2026, well, you know, that doesn't help you all that much
