0:10.3

some amazing new friends are answering your questions about relationships, work, life,

0:15.3

mindfulness, and just about everything else. It's so different from anything we've ever

0:20.3

created and we're so excited for you to hear it. Dear Headspace comes out every Tuesday

on the Headspace app and anywhere you listen to podcasts. Thanks for listening.

Hi, it's Andy here and welcome to Radio Headspace and to Friday morning. It's not just because

0:50.2

it's Friday but I thought today we would perhaps talk a little bit about not doing. I don't

0:56.7

mean stopping everything and not doing anything. It's more about our approach to uncovering

1:28.1

about what we stop doing or stop doing more about what we notice what we're doing in

1:33.3

letting go of what we're doing we experience awareness. So awareness is found in not

1:38.3

being distracted. Even the cultivation of awareness is something very passive. It's very

1:44.6

gentle, kind of nuanced in that sense. It's in letting go of distraction that we find

1:50.5

awareness. It's always been here, never going to go anywhere. So it can't be lost. So

1:55.4

we don't need to have any anxiety, we don't need to apply any pressure to ourselves to cultivate

1:59.5

awareness. We know that it's always here. We simply need to notice when we're distracted.

2:06.2

In the same way, kindness I think very often is found in the mind when we let go of criticism,
