Hello everyone, I'm Eve and welcome to Radio Headspace and to the middle of the week, it's Wednesday.

So I'm sure we've all had those moments in our life where we wish we had paused before saying something.

More often than not, these happen when we are perhaps in a heated conversation, a heated moment or an argument.

And we lash out and then very quickly realise we maybe should have kept it in.

That realisation sometimes happens even when we're speaking the words.

So the other day I was on the phone trying to get through to a customer service centre.

And you know how these things can go. Sometimes you wait ages, then you don't get put through to the right person.

And then when you do, you get cut off and you have to start all over again.

And all in all, it can make for quite a frustrating experience.

And we often try and do these things in the middle of doing something else.

Anyway, it was one of those times and I'd been waiting for about 30 minutes and then suddenly got cut off.

I hadn't even got through to anyone by this point. So I took some deep breaths and tried again.

And then this time, after 10 minutes, my phone battery died. But I didn't notice straight away, so there I was thinking I'm still waiting when actually my phone was just off.

So not only was I annoyed about having to wait, I was also annoyed that my phone had died and all of this was in the middle of me trying to cook some lunch.
