Thank you. True Crime Podcast. Casey Anthony is back in the public eye, almost 14 years after her highly televised

murder trial for the death of her young child.

In a video posted to TikTok, the 38-year-old called herself a legal advocate and researcher

and announced she'd be starting a series in which she plans to advocate for herself and for her late daughter.

Anthony was accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter, Kaylee, in 2008.

Though she was found guilty on four counts of lying to law enforcement,

she was ultimately acquitted in her daughter's death.

Meanwhile, Juilliard-trained pianist Zachary Hughes

was found guilty of murder by a South Carolina jury on Thursday, February 20th.

Hughes admitted to killing veterinary staffer Christina Parcell, claiming he did so to protect her daughter from abuse.

Hughes was sentenced to life in prison for the crime.

And in New Jersey, suspected murderer Matthew Hurtgen attempted to commit suicide inside of his jail cell.

The 31-year-old is accused of violently murdering his 26-year-old brother Joseph and his pet cat.

Hurtkin's pretrial hearing was rescheduled to take place today.
