Summary

Paul Is Dead is one of the biggest urban legends and conspiracies in rock & roll history! The idea that Paul McCartney died in the 60s and was replaced by an imposter had many clues to back it up (some of which may have been planted by The Beatles themselves)! And that's why noted rock historian, author, and Beatles expert, the late, great R. Gary Patterson joins TIJ (in what was probably his last interview) to kick off Beatles week in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album! Gary has the story behind how the Paul Is Dead rumor got started, and walks us through many of the clues on the "Sgt Pepper's" album that seemed to perpetuate the myth. He also sheds some insight on a couple of other big music conspiracies involving Buddy Holly's plane crash, and Pink Floyd's tie to the "Wizard Of Oz."
