with Steve Valestreary we have a great guest with this Paul Bruno award-winning author

he's written a couple of books He's written a couple of books. He's written a couple of books about the

probably the most iconic piece of American military equipment ever, which is the Army's Jeep, well the military's Jeep, not just the Army.

His first book was the first Jeep in 2014 and he's come up with a new one.

The original Jeep's, the Race to Build America's first Jeep.

It's now available on Amazon.com.

So we're going to talk to Paul about his books. We're going to talk to him about the jeeps, which if you're a fan of military history, you're going to enjoy this. And you should check out the book as well. So without any

further ado, Paul, welcome to Software Radio and thanks for taking the time this

afternoon with us. Oh, glad to be here and thanks for having me.

Yeah, and you know when I got the email about this,

I was like, oh man, because I had just read something not too long ago in relationship to the jeep and somebody had written an article in one of those military magazines and it just caught my eye, I started reading it and they were saying if it wasn't for World War II it might have never been built and it ended up I mean it's lasted but 80 years now and it's now a

part of American consumers.

I mean, everybody has jeeps now that we have one in our front yard

as a matter of fact.

So, you know, the jeep is a true iconic vehicle is past the test of time.

Oh, that is absolutely correct and that's one of the reasons we came out with the

updated book was to celebrate the 80th anniversary

of the creation of the first three jeeps which are on the cover of the book. They were all built

and delivered to the army in 1940 and you maybe you'll learn a little bit about the DNA of that jeep sitting in your driveway
