Aloha. I just wanted to take two minutes and share with you three things the Lord has

0:04.5

ministered to me concerning the growing fears over the coronavirus. First, God's not given us a spirit

0:11.7

of fear. Psalm 91 is a great Psalm for anyone who might be afraid or experiencing anxiety. It says in

0:20.7

verses 2 and 3, I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge

0:25.5

and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare

0:34.4

and from the deadly pestilence. This certainly a pestilence in verses five and six

0:41.8

you will not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day nor the pestilence that stalks in

0:51.4

the darkness nor the plague that destroys at midday.

Secondly, I want to encourage you to stay calm and be prudent.

1:02.0

Proverbs 27 verse 12 says the prudent see danger ahead but the fool keeps going and suffers the consequences. God has given us discernment and

1:13.5

understanding and prudence. For our church we're going to continue holding our

1:18.6

services at the regularly scheduled times. We are taking the necessary

1:23.4

precautions erring on the side of an abundance of caution. Thirdly, I really want to encourage you

1:30.4

because this is a great opportunity to reach the loss. First Peter chapter 3, verse 15, says

1:39.1

that we're to always be at the ready, always prepared to give to everyone an answer of that hope that lies within us.

1:49.0

People are so fearful right now and we're the ones with the answer, we're the ones with the hope.

1:56.0

Lastly, let me just say that if there was ever a time to turn to the Lord or perhaps for some turn back to the Lord,

2:05.6

it is now. And lastly, look up, the Lord is coming and his return draws near. God bless you.
