This is an American school.

The place that parents and little Jimmy or little Mary to learn the life skills necessary

to become productive members of a free society.

At first glance, this appears to be a ordinary classroom with an ordinary educator.

I can assure you this teacher is anything but ordinary.

She has a degree from Yale and these children are soaking up that knowledge like a sponge.

These children speak Chinese and Spanish.

She teaches physics.

And so we are all walking on thin ice or no ice at all.

These children are learning world history from a teacher with a grasp of both world wars

that is astounding.

I'm offended.

I'm hurt.

Not that I have anything against Germany.

This teacher wears many hats and also teaches her students about health.

She will die if they did not have the proper health.

She encourages her students to challenge and debate one another in the arena of ideas.

You know, you raise a very erudite point.

This teacher cares about all children.

Even those that others in society have condemned.

Don't condemn the gang bangers they've got guns that are trafficked.

As you can see, these parents can rest easy with a woman like Sheila Jackson Lee watching
