We start with Panama as an example of alienation between the Panamanian population, especially

the younger members, the future, the younger members, millennials and Gen C, that's 40, 50, 60, 70 years

out, alienation from the United States seen as presumptive or overbearing or just

threatening. However, we go to other countries where there's a mixed record, but there's

trouble. We know about Venezuela. That isn't fresh, but what is fresh is Colombia. I am surprised at the reports I'm hearing and the stories I'm being told, not only about

Gustavo Petro, the once upon a time man part of a guerrilla terrorist organization, and then

elected popularly several years ago and celebrated as a new look, and yet now extremely disapproved by the population

and mocked by the legislature, I'm told. But what does the public make of the U.S. now?

Is it alienated like Panama? Is it looking to the U.S. to help because Petro is so troublesome?
