I'm recording it from my house, my guest is in her house. We've never met before. It's

a bit weird. I just want to leap across and huck her. She's got a bottom behind her.

But I'm not a kid. Today's guest is a singer, songwriter and actress mother of one. It's

a Loma Faith. Hi. Hello. I'm so happy to be on this podcast because I listen to it a lot

and I love what it's doing. The reason why I'm on it is because I wrote to my managers and

was like, I want to be on this and they're like, oh they said you could do it. They've already

been knocking on the door. I'm glad you like it. Yeah, it's really refreshing and nice. I mean

I'm as people do know about me, know that I'm painfully honest. So I think that stuff's

really important. Yeah. What was your childhood like? I don't know because I always say, oh, it

was really magical in some ways. I think my mum was a primary school teacher and she

in happening. She made things really imaginative and exciting and community and all that. But also

my parents divorced when I was two and it wasn't like a simple. It was like there's alcohol and

abuse involved. Yeah. So it was like a mix of things. But I actually when I got a memory of

as a kid, some kid from my area asking me what my childhood was like and I remember saying to them

like it was amazing. It's so amazing. Then my mum came outside from the kitchen and I heard that it

wasn't. I guess it's all about perfection. Well maybe you've just blocked out all of that stuff

though and that's what you're taking away from it. It's the magic. And did you always say

do you want it to have kids? I've been talking a lot about this recently because a lot of my new

writing for my album is going to be about motherhood and it's interesting because I always wanted

to have children. I'm a cancerian where they believe in that a lot but it's when maternal or

currently. And I've always been like somebody who's very much a caregiver like I had friends
