The Unfolding. Hi, this is Meredith Foster. We often think we know what we need, and we are dead set on getting it.

Kim Cash-Tate was a woman driven by her goals. After her parents' divorce when she was young, she grew up with one

focus. Get a good job, make your own money, and make a whole lot of it. She was inclined to cling to success

and the security she believed would come from it. She was well on her way to achieving those goals

when God interrupted her plan and showed her

what she really needed. I grew up in Maryland right outside of D.C. I grew up with primarily

my mom, my parents divorced when I was four, but my dad was always in the area. So I lived with my mom, but I would see my dad pretty frequently.

And it was a great upbringing in terms of my life day to day and that kind of thing.

But we did not, my parents were not believers.

I did not grow up in the church.

So but I went to Catholic schools.

So a lot of my knowledge of Jesus

growing up came from Catholic schools when I was in grade school. And really the decision to

send me to Catholic school was just for the education. It had nothing to do with any spiritual or

religious aspect. It was just, this is where she can get a great education.
