Never enough.

It describes our culture pretty well.

As much as we pursue the trappings of success, it's never enough to bring contentment.

So when you meet someone who's reached their 80s and they are

truly content, peaceful, happy even, you want to know why. One day my coworker Taylor was telling me

about his grandparents, Dick and Lou Hohoohulin, two people who had chosen to live their life

in a very countercultural way. Pursuing none of the

things that we're told will make us happy. By the way, I should mention this interview sounds a little

different. I ended up chatting with Dick and Lou on the phone from their house in Texas. So you'll

hear their border collie, Darcy, named after Mr. Darcy, and the chiming clock that Dick's sister

and her husband gave them as a housewarming

gift. It sounds a little different, but it is definitely a story you want to hear. This is Dick

and Lou Ho-Hoolan, two of the happiest people in the world. Can you tell me a little bit about

what happened in Korea that kind of set you on that path to becoming a missionary?

Actually, I graduated up in Chicago at the art school, and I was going to be a commercial artist.
