The fires of Los Angeles. I welcome Jeff. This is Pacific Watch. We begin with the good news.

Celebration. Money raising for the damage done by the fires, which are almost out, but not entirely.

Jeff, a very good evening to you. I do not know the music concerts in Los Angeles. There were two big venues last night.

Good evening, John. Fire Aid was a two venue simultaneous, basically, concert experience.

You could choose to either go to the Kia Forum, which is famous for it's where

the Lakers used to play. It's mostly a major music venue now. And then just down the road from

it, literally walking distance, is the Intuit Dome where the L.A. Clippers of the NBA play.

It's also a big concert venue brand new. And those two held concerts, you know, that were raising money for the victims

and fire prevention efforts here in L.A. And both houses were sold out. Some people paid big money.

Sponsors pay big money into it. All the money going directly to the Annenberg Fund, which is handling it,

and we'll dole it out.

The venues and the ticket company waived all their fees.

So they're making sure that all the money gets the right people.

But the acts were a who's who of rock and roll Hall of Fame and Grammy winners.

And you had, you know, Latin music people.

You had rap. You had rock. You had people you had rap you had rock you had

you know you name it just kind of all the all the genres of the modern music era

and really big name A list folks and it was a fantastic show when past midnight I

mean people like Lady Gaga the red hot chili peppers sting I. I mean, I could go down a long, long list. Pink had a great showing last night.

There are so many people, it's kind of hard to mention, but I would say there would be between 20 and 30 acts at each venue.

And what they would do is sometimes they play combined with different bands playing together, different artists playing together.
