This is the Friends of History-Mating Society. I'm John Bachelors. Jeff Bliss is Pacific Watch,

High Roller Bliss, a few hours in Vegas and then an exciting, challenging, worrisome drive home

through the advanced showers of Hurricane Hillary. Right now, we're looking at a lot of rain,

but Jeff, I'm very glad you got back from Vegas with all your winnings. Your car was heavily

weighed down. You report that the driving was challenging and you saw many accidents along the way.

What is this road and what does it look like to drive on it when it's raining hard? Good evening to

you, Jeff. Good evening, John. First of all, to describe the drive home today, I use one word and

that's harrowing. It was one of the most difficult drives I've ever made period, but the number of

accidents are out there. There were so many spots where cars, including mine, were

hydroplaning. You can see cars in front of you. You start to go sideways. There were semi-trucks

that had jackknife gone off the road. There was one portion of the 15 freeway, which is

the 15 is the route between Vegas and Los Angeles. There were portions of it. There were closed

because they were clearing accidents on both sides of the freeway. Apparently, he

gone over the center to bite or something, but there were parts of that trip where there was no

movement on the freeway for quite some time. At one point, they detoured us into a town called

Barstow. You've heard that name before, and so you have thousands of cars going through this

little town on a Sunday afternoon. I felt so bad. I could see the residents trying to get out of

their homes. I don't know, go to the market or pay a visit somewhere, and they just turned around

went back because their city was clogged. It was really a very difficult drive home. I feel

very thankful. I'm okay. I haven't heard any reports of injuries, though. I did see quite a few

ambulances and fire trucks. It was very, very difficult for many people today.

The hurricane is upon you, although it's momentarily a hurricane and soon to be a tropical storm.
