Chinatown is about Los Angeles in 1937. I've only ever seen photographs. It looked pretty much the same as it did when I first arrived

in LA sometime in the 1980s. However, the significance of the movie was that it was culturally persuasive,

especially the line that you've long enjoyed saying,

I won't do it for you, Jeff. What's the line you love to say from Chinatown? It's Chinatown. you're and perceive why it's so confusing. It's not really your town, it's a mix of

different things, it's too confusing to comprehend, just let it go.

Yes and it's Chinatown Jake applies to California today.

So 50 years later, directed by Roman Polanski,

we start with Oakland.

It's Oakland, Jeff.

What we have is a crime-infested city, I mean very violent, and recall for the

mayor and the DA, and then all of a sudden the federal agent showed up. Why? What happened?

So we have Shenandoah who is the first term mayor in Oakland. The very unhappy

residents of Oakland have already secured a place on the coming

November ballot to recall her and it seems very good a very good chance that she'll be

recalled and there are all types of unhappiness with her across the board. A lot of people unhappy about the crime, about the homelessness, just the general disrepair of the city. And then of of course this latest thing was the FBI

rated her home as well as several others connected to her through her friends and

they gathered evidence they won't say what it is. However, the betting money is that she was

receiving money allegedly from a a trash person, a waste management person who had been given, accused of giving money to

candidates on the city council, which, saying Ta was a member before she was mayor and you know through straw through

third party people and so there's there's a big concern that we have a public
