Eastern Brown Snakes.

There is a carefully well-written story in the Guardian of what I presume to be a young mom.

In her kitchen, one evening, her husband's taking a shower.

The children, I believe, were playing outside.

But I'm not sure.

The story goes like this.

Mom spotted an Eastern Brown snake entering the kitchen.

She didn't panic right away.

She threw what she had in her hands, a knife.

Even though she was aware while writing the story that that is not permitted

in Australia to kill an Eastern Brown snake or to injured in any fashion.

The snake came on.

She screamed.
