Also anticipating cricket and beer snakes in the stands.

And now our favorite caregiver, Dallas, a 10-year-old spoodle, Jeremy's good friend,

who can now be described as a veteran caregiver, giving care to what?

A family of magpies.

Jeremy, we've watched Dallas develop this talent

for taking care of one particular family,

leaving some food for them and it's played in the morning.

Now you tell me the crows are curious,

and one came knocking at the door. How did Dallas react?

Well, John, it turns out crows are not welcome in Dallas's world. And in fact, it's very

interesting because the crow landed on the lawn in front of him around about the same place

that the magpies do. But you know what? Dallas didn't have a bar of it.

In fact, Dallas got up, stood up, looked at the crow sternly to start with, and the crow

didn't immediately run away. The crow actually stood its ground and waited to see what happened.

But then, of course, Dallas really didn't want it to be there, started barking.

He was barking and wagging his tail, so I knew he probably wasn't going to go and try

and savage it. Being a spoodle, they tend not to try and kill anything that moves
