He headed to New South Wales to Jeremy Zuckus, my cricket guide and coach.

I've been learning for two years now the language of cricket.

And I'm pleased to ask Jeremy in the right vernacular.

Jerry, the palms can't catch a break.

What happened?

Well, John, this was another T-20 game, basically where the PalmsS were out there again fighting with their mortal

foes the South Africans and in all honesty the English were doing very very well against

the South Africans except when it came to the South Africans

Africans batting they had basically surprised the ponds.

They did really, really well.

And so what happened was that at a very critical part of the game when the

Poms really needed to get one of the South Africans out.

The Poms saw the ball coming.

Basically it was out in the middle of the field.

Mark Wood, who was fielding the ball, reached up, tried to grab the ball, took what looked

like the

curbs at the ground, so it was quite spectacular, you can imagine him diving.

And they thought that actually got a guy called Quintan de Kococles, who's one of the

biggest South African batters that they had,

which meant the POMS stood a chance to actually win that game in the T-20.
