Hey, what's going on guys? Welcome back to Jeremy Scott Fitness Podcast and radio show coming to you on a Tuesday evening here really quick with a podcast titled, Owning a Gym sucks. And it's a little bit of clickbait because it definitely is not all bad. And I love my life and I love what I do. I get to travel the world. I've met some of the most amazing people, whether it be my peers or obviously the amazing athletes we get to work with. I've made a ton of money more than I ever thought, you know, a bum like me could make in my life. So I'm definitely not complaining. But I want to share this because it's not all sunshine and rainbows and I want to keep it real with everyone. If you're out there, you're looking to get into the health and fitness industry, you're looking to be an entrepreneur, you're looking to be a boss or a CEO or make a career change. I'm not talking you out of it, but I want to kick the reel to you just so you know the grass is not always greener on the other side and you might be better suited for something else, or you might be willing to take the leap and do this like I did well over a decade ago

and live, you know, the most amazing life that I ever thought I could possibly live.

0:59.0

And even if you're not in the health and fitness profession, I'm going to tie this into

1:04.0

all careers and jobs.

1:05.0

So again, if you don't own a gym, you can still take away some amazing keys and you can

1:10.0

apply this to your life and whatever you choose to do for your vocation and to make money and to give back to the world. A side note really quick before we dig into it. Reminder of 47 day transformation is kicking off here in about 11 days. It is July the 30th right now. So if you're interested in that, hit me up, 47day transformation.com. The links on my Instagram bio as well. I can promise you if you're looking to make a real lifestyle change and replace your shitty habits with ones that are going to help serve you, not just for 47 days, but for the next, you know, a couple decades of your life, this is the program for you. This is a chance where you guys can learn a foundation of skills that you can take with you forever. And you'll make amazing massive changes both mentally and physically in those 47 days. But what you do, the 47 days beyond that and the 147 days beyond that, that's where the real magic is going to happen. And it's an exhausting program for me, admittedly, I can't do it more than two or three times per year because it really does drain me. But it's the one thing I know really works because we dig into the real shit and we strip past kind of all the surface layer stuff and we dig into the real reasons why you guys aren't where you want to be, not just in, you know, you're eating and training, but every other area of your life. And that's what I believe a real transformation is because once you can master your mind and what you want to do and where you want to go with it then obviously controlling the flesh is a lot easier but if you can't control your minds and your thoughts and how you think about yourself and the world that you're living in you getting six-pack abs is almost fucking impossible even it's hard enough as it is even if you're mentally right, let alone if you're mentally

2:34.5

fucked, it's just not going to happen.

2:36.5

So if you're interested, hit me up, send a message, but we're kicking off in 11 days

2:41.2

regardless.

2:41.6

And if you want to be there, I'm ready to rock with you.

2:44.3

If not, I'll dig into the podcast here.

2:46.6

So again, when I say owning a gym sucks, I say that, you know, with a wink and a nod. And I'll share a story here really fast, a friend of mine, same Dave Dries. Dave just got out of the gym business. And I say owning a gym business because in this life, a lot of people don't own gyms, like B.J. Godore, Lexia Clark. They don't own gyms where people come and train brick and mortar. You know, I, Jeremy Scott, actually own a brick and mortar building where we train

3:11.3

humans.

3:11.9

And for me and my personality type and what I do is helped transform and change me to a

3:17.6

level where I never could imagine it would be at.

3:20.4

I've learned more about human behavior and people's processes and what they do and how they

3:25.7

think and how they react than they ever thought I could. And more than any school or textbook

3:30.1

could ever teach me, I promise you that. And so for me doing it, it's good for my life on multiple

3:36.4

levels. And I remember we're out to like a lunch with Andrew Connor. Andrew used to be my boy at Reebok.

3:41.5

Andrew, if you're listening, hope you're doing well, brother. And I remember he said this sentence to me, and I don't think he even realizes that he was like, he goes, Jeremy, I still can't believe you're doing this shit. And you still actually train and own a facility. And I don't think he meant it negatively. I just think because a lot of people in the space who are like myself don't do it,

3:40.8

you know, there is like a Hannah Eden and Hannah's a gangster like me and I don't think he meant it negatively. I just think because a lot of people in the space who are like myself don't do it,

3:58.8

you know, there is like a Hannah Eden and Hannah is a gangster like me, and so she'll probably do it like me until she dies. But it takes a certain kind of person to do it. And for me, more positive comes from it than negative. But for my homie, Dave Dries, and if you guys know Dave's backstory, if you know me, you've been following me for a decade or more.
