What's going on, guys? Welcome back to Jeremy Scott Fitness Podcast, radio show. Late Night Thursday edition for an IGTV, YouTube, Facebook watching. Thank you. I'm going to make this quick. My homie, Travis Merritt, shared this with us a long time ago, and as we're coming up on our 47-day transformation, I thought I'd share it with you guys. I think there is some value in it, whether you are in the health, fitness, hustle, or you can apply this to anything in life if you really put it in the right context. And it will save you years of trouble. And that's the title of tonight's podcast. This will save you years of trouble. And I wish, admittedly, somebody had told me this years ago, I'm going to read through my show notes here so I don't get lost and so I can really relay his message to everybody listening. All of us at one point or another are

0:42.1

guilty of falling in love with just the end result, whether that be losing 50 pounds, having abs,

0:49.3

making your partner lust after us again, you know, looking great in a bathing suit,

0:53.7

pissing off your

0:54.4

ex, feeling confident in clothes, looking good for Coachella, I've heard that one as well. And again, you can apply this to things outside of just, you know, looking better, you know, in the physical body, whether it's, you know, getting a college degree, getting, you know, your dream job or your dream house or the dream car. we daydream about what life will look like, you know, when we have those things or when we're in, you know, quote unquote, I guess, the best shape of our

1:14.5

life. We buy the workout clothes. We meal prep. We're excited to get started, especially in this

1:19.8

life on this journey. And after a few weeks and a few months really sets in, you realize,

1:24.7

shit, it's kind of hard to be in, you know, the 1% shape in the world. It's kind of hard to be in you know the 1% shape in the world it's

1:29.2

kind of hard to be a 1% earner in America or you know actually be able to afford your

1:34.2

dream car or like live in the dream house and you understand it takes effort and dedication

1:38.8

every single day and especially in the physical body you've seen some progress maybe you

1:43.6

lost some weight maybe you got a little bit more quote unquote toned, as people like to say, but you still feel you're so far away from your ultimate goal of the image that you have planned in your brain. Like we visually think we want to look a certain way, and then when we look in the mirror, we see something completely different because most of us are, admittedly, our own worst critic and our own worst enemy when it comes to our physical body. It's so unfamiliar to some of you guys. It should because 100% of us, you know, have lived like this at some point. Hopefully, you know, after listening to this, you guys can get beyond that. But I've been there, and immediately I think a lot of you watching are probably there too. And the difference of how you see yourself of, you know, what's realistic, what's attainable, and what you want to get out of it, that's what separates the people who achieve transformations and the people who don't. And I mean, it starts in the physical mind. And once you can control that, obviously, then you can start to control the flesh, but you can't have one without the other, in my opinion. And it's the ones who achieve their transformations, they keep going.

2:36.7

And the ones that don't stop and they realize that changing their bodies is not just kind of hard. It's really fucking hard. And it's probably, you know, short of, you know, really tragic stuff in your life, whether it's battling cancer and death and loss. controlling how you eat, how you train it, how you live, and how you, you know, live a healthy

2:34.9

lifestyle is one of the harder things people are going to do because the decision you have to win two, three, four, five times a day every single day until you die. And that's the tough part. It's not like you can do it for, you know, six months or even six years and then just live off of that, you have to keep going.

3:07.8

And we're always evolving and changing as people.

3:09.7

And so we're, you know, typically every day we're getting a little bit older, softer, and wrinklier. And so we have to fight father time. And as far as I know, father time is undefeated. And you have to be willing to change your life and learn new ways to live. you have to be able to spend a certain amount of time in the gym or training,

3:07.6

pushing your body to levels that are... and learn new ways to live. You have to be able to spend a certain amount of time

3:24.1

in the gym or training,

3:25.8

pushing your body to levels that are uncomfortable,

3:29.4

to say the least.

3:30.9

Frustration will happen, aches will happen,

3:33.6

having to prepare meals and track macros
