Summary
What did it actually mean when the early church used the word saved? We're now learning it was not simply to be saved from, but what we were saved for! Salvation is a level of bliss worked into the human existence that works itself into the present. Not simply an after life experience!

| 0:00.0 | Thank you for listening to this message from Damon Thompson Ministries. |
| 0:07.0 | We're going to stay in this vein that we've been in for the last two weeks. |
| 0:19.0 | And I don't know that I'm going to do, you know, |
| 0:21.4 | a session, take a break, come back and do another session, or we just do a long session. We may do |
| 0:27.1 | a long session, take a short break, and then come back and just wrap things up in that regard. |
| 0:32.0 | But I am, I do want to, I want to stay in this vein we've been in regarding an orthodox satirology, or our coming |
| 0:40.4 | to understand what it actually meant to the early church when they used the term saved, whether it be |
| 0:48.6 | sod zote or sotaria. I think they meant something vastly different than our Western definition of salvation, which almost always has to do with one day dying and going to a future heaven for a state of entering into a state of post-mortem bliss. |

| 1:53.5 | So there's something regarding intimacy with the son, knowledge of the nature of the father that moves us into a state called eternal |
| 2:04.4 | life, not later, but eternal life now. Now, we know that the last enemy has not yet been |
| 2:11.4 | dealt with, according to 1st Corinthians, but Yeshua will be returning to deal with the last |
| 2:17.3 | enemy that is death. |
| 2:18.7 | However, we can easily prove through Isaiah 65 that before Jesus comes to deal the last punch to death, |
| 2:27.5 | death will already be against the ropes. |
| 2:30.8 | Why? Because people will be living as long as aged old trees. Remember that immediately after the fall, |
