Let's kind of talk about where we left off yesterday and we're going to dive more deeply into this

christification idea but i want to start with the the three things or in three categories and

maybe this could be a little bit of a pop quiz for you i said pop quiz and bryce just broke out

sweat just formed around the bottom of his lip so a little bit of a

pop quiz um and that is I talked to you about the reason man exists the purpose of man's existence

you remember this from a couple of weeks ago the reason man exists the purpose of man's existence

and the outworking of both reason and purpose.

So the reason it's important to review that is because we're going to go a lot more deeply into those things conceptually today.

So again, the reason man exists is to dwell in the reciprocity that we could use the word abide.

Minow is a fixed, position of of joint participation so again a fixed

stayed position of joint participation this is the word that the apostle john uses continually

throughout the gospel of john specifically in john 15 he says, if you abide in me,

and my words abide in you, you can ask what you will. He talks about the vine and the branches

and the importance of abiding or remaining, again, in a fixed state of joint participation.

Dr. Tuat would translate that word, go on to translate that word in the mirror study Bible as seamless union,

seamless union. So we're going to talk again about the reason we exist is to dwell in the

reciprocity of perfect love, to dwell in a reciprocal cycle of giving and receiving perfect love.

That's your reason. Now, the purpose for your existence

is Christification. The purpose of your existence is for you to move into your pre-horizoned

intention, which is to be conformed somorphos into the image icon of the wios of the son of God.

Jesus being the archetype, Jesus being the ultimate pattern of what existence is supposed to look like and we're now coming to understand
