We're going to jump right in and we're going to kind of pick up without doing a ton of review.

0:19.4

I'd like to pick up where we left off last week.

0:22.5

The challenge with that, of course I know is you've had multiple sessions since then.

0:26.8

But what we talked about last week was an orthodox satirology.

0:32.4

So what we are then beginning to define what the early fathers meant when they said saved.

1:47.9

So the verb sozo is to rescue from peril, but also to heal until you attain a state of

1:56.1

wholeness. Therefore, you can say you were saved from great peril, but you are also being healed until you reach a state of wholeness.

2:05.5

So it was true for the early church fathers to say, mankind has been saved and mankind is being saved.
