I'm going to talk to you tonight about image bearing and the new creation.

Image bearing and the new creation. What, image bearing and the new creation.

What we're making a shift from is a consciousness that is mostly centered around the idea

in the Western church that salvation is what happens to you when you die.

You have two salvations, one when you repeat the prayer and accept Jesus, and secondly, when

you die and go to heaven, you're saved from this life.

But we're coming to understand that the ultimate intention always in the heart of the Father

was to make his headquarters earth, not heaven.

But in order for him to make his headquarters, earth not heaven, earth will have to go through a process of transformation to return back to a place where it's worthy to welcome heaven.

So we talk about the already and the not yet.

You're familiar with this idea.

The already and the not yet of the man is what?

That you're already a new creature old

things have passed away behold all things have become new beloved we are god's children now

yet it is not yet apparent what we will become but when he is revealed for who he really is first

john will be like him so what we're coming to understand and we're coming to understand this

clearly by way of grace we're coming to understand, and we're coming to understand this clearly

by way of grace, we're coming to understand that you and I were saved for something, not just saved

from something. And the analogy I gave is if I take Tammy's ring and I go down there to throw it in the

bayou and somebody stops me from throwing it in the bayou, the ring is saved. But it was also saved

when I put it in my pocket and let it almost burn a hole through my pocket and my skin in such a
