All right, today we are talking about Caterpillar control, but specifically, how do you get

rid of caterpillars without using any pesticides?

Now, I'm not knocking pesticides completely. Sometimes it's a necessary thing. But caterpillars, you don't need to, you don't need to use pesticides. And there are a lot of ways that you can either control them, kill them, or prevent

them from ever actually attacking your garden without using any pesticides.

So these are some natural ways and I'm just going to run through

them really quickly. Pick one or two that seem like might work for you and

then experiment with those and let me know how they go for you, okay? Number one one this is the most obvious one just hand-picked

them this is the most boring and bland suggestion ever but honestly a little bit of

effort goes a long way here you kind of have to be careful when you hand pick

because sometimes like I've looked at a plant for a while and just not seen a caterpillar that's right

in front of my face. I don't know if that's happened to you, but it certainly has happened to me.

And then I've said, okay, I cleared that plant, there's nothing on it, and then I come back the next day and the caterpillar has munched two or three huge leaves and then I kick myself.

So hand picking, if you're going to do it, you might want to look at night time because it's

a bit easier I've found to find them in that type of light, especially

because they're sort of out and about being sneaky eating your plants at that time.

Second tip I have for you is to spray your plants with neem oil.

They just don't like neem oil. Unfortunately other beneficial insects like bees or earthworms also don't really like

neem oil and so if you blanket your entire garden with it you might be killing off or

annoying some beneficial bugs as well.

But Caterpillars do not like neem oil.
