| 0:20.4 | Here's our reality. The world is on fire right now, literally and |
| 0:27.8 | emotionally and spiritually in all the different ways. And I see you. I see you trying to fight |
| 0:35.3 | every battle, I fix every broken thing and carry it all on your back. |
| 0:40.9 | But I need you to hear me when I say, you cannot heal if you do not rest. |
| 0:47.8 | You cannot build the life you want from a place of exhaustion. |
| 0:52.6 | Rest is not a weakness, rest is not a luxury. It's survival. |
| 0:59.5 | And I know as I say this, and I make this the theme of February, that you're thinking, |
| 1:04.2 | how, when, have you seen what's going on if you're in the United States and the federal |
| 1:08.4 | government? Have you seen what's going on across the world, the fires, the genocide, the cruelty, the, it seems like it never ends. |
| 1:22.8 | And that's just a globally. |
| 1:24.5 | Now let's make it local that you may have unreasonable and insane |
| 1:29.5 | demands put on you by a supervisor, by a partner that's not pulling their weight, by children |
| 1:34.8 | who have special needs or just needs in general, that were also being called to boycott |
| 1:41.8 | different organizations, people, and institutions. The demands and the call to |
| 1:50.0 | do more has never been more in our face and never more tested our default response, which I think is |
| 1:58.8 | black women, which is to then get up and do more. |
| 2:03.6 | And I know I put together a program in January. I put that program together in July of last year, |
| 2:09.4 | y'all. And I was like, New Year healed me. We're going to give a bunch of episodes on all the |
| 2:15.2 | things that you need to be the best version of yourself and you can keep |
| 2:18.3 | going back to those episodes over and over again. That was the goal and I'm glad we did it, |
