Welcome to the Black Girl Burn Out Podcast with Kelley. Today I want to talk to you about ways to successfully build good habits. A sure way to opt-out of struggle in your life is to align with a pattern of positive behavior. Let’s be clear, it is not easy to set a new habit. In fact, it takes at least 18 days to establish new behavior as a habit. But, here’s the good news, if you are determined to release struggle from your life, you have to power to accomplish this goal. The science behind this actually tells us that when we create a behavior and then find ways to reinforce that behavior, it becomes something called a habit loop. Let’s talk about it. And so I'm dedicated to talking about how there can be another way to live, think,

to be. And one of the foundational things that you need to opt out of the struggle is to opt

into the life that good habits can bring, the ease it can bring. Now, there is no

shortage of information about how to build a good habit, but oftentimes when building habits,

they're very difficult. And if we are not mentally and emotionally and even sometimes

physically in a place to build them, or we expect too much or we are not mentally and emotionally and even sometimes physically in a place to build them,

or we expect too much from ourselves, it can cause a lot of unnecessary pain.

We all have those moments where we go from nothing to everything, right? We start from,
