0:51.3	finished reading an article in the Hard Business Journal about a speaker who was getting ready to present and do a TED Talk. He sent his speech out to several
1:10.6	colleagues for their feedback.
1:13.3	And he got lots of great feedback.
1:16.6	But he started to get lost in too much information. The great feedback he received combined with all the great
1:29.7	value he had already organized in his speech, which included a lot of facts and statistics and
1:38.5	information that was pretty impressive. But he started to lose his momentum
1:47.7	the moment he received all the feedback
1:50.8	from other people, because he felt like the speech no longer had his
1:58.8	essence in it and so what he decided to do is just to scrap that speech and write something
2:07.8	from his heart. He decided to trust himself and be vulnerable and share his authentic self with the audience,
2:20.7	rather than researched information or all this feedback from other people as
2:29.6	impressive as that was, he shared his authenticity with the audience. And the result was that it turned
2:41.2	out to be so much more enjoyable for him to share who he was with his
2:49.9	audience and the talk turned out to be very successful and very popular.
