This is Nick. This is Jack. It is Friday, the real Friday. May 29. Then today's part is the best one yet. This is a T-voy. The top three pop business news stories you need to know today.

0:12.8

Well, here we are. It's official. Live tickets on sale right now starting today. I am so excited for the second leg of the IPO tour, our in-person offering.

0:23.0

We're going to San Francisco on Wednesday, September 23rd. Boston, just inside Boston, Wednesday, October 14th.

0:29.6

And we're finishing it off with Seattle on Wednesday, November 4th. It can sell out any moment. Grab your tickets now.

0:35.9

We've got the links right here in the episode description. These live shows are the Magnus Opum of TVOI. Yeah. Oh, we're already prepping the wardroves. But Jack, in the meantime, while everyone's snagging their tics, we'll pause the pod. Are we letting them buy the tickets right now? Is that the pause? All right, we're ready. Jack, three fantastic stories for today's show. What do we got on the T-Boy? For our first story, Dolly Parton's newest release is not a song. It's a gas station. The country music star is coming after mobile, baby. For our second story, Meta just launched Instagram Plus, a $4 a month premium subscription. It lets you stock your ex's picks incognito, but doesn't offer the one thing we'd actually pay for. And our third and final story is Oro Ring. Oro Ring filed to IPO, and they unveiled their daintiest ring ever. It's 40% smaller. But Jack and I think we are over-optimizing on our optimized health. We'll tell you how. But yeties, before we hit that wonderful mix of stories. Oh, what a mix of stories. I love the mix for the Real Friday. The biggest debate in America right now isn't red versus blue, liberal versus conservative, or Sierra versus Amanda, for that matter. Oh, yeah, if you know, you know, it is Diet Coke versus Coke zero. And that's a big

1:44.9

deal historically, because the biggest brand beef and soda has been Coke versus Pepsi. Coke versus Pepsi,

1:50.1

two different sodas, two different companies. But today, we're split between two cans from the same

1:53.9

brand. And the numbers are going to give you a cavity, besties. Zero sugar sodas made up 52%

2:00.2

of all soda sales growth in the U.S. last year, while

2:02.9

traditional diet sodas have been flat for two decades now. And now Coke Zero Sugar is on pace

2:07.9

to past Diet Coke in sales for the first time ever. And people are getting pissed. Or people

2:14.3

are thrilled. It's a very polarizing subject. It's kind of a half-half situation, if you know.

2:18.8

Cholorically, these are the same products. Zero calorie soda.

2:22.0

But categorically, oh, these are vastly different products.

2:25.5

Two cans with the same purpose are somehow attracting totally different audiences.

2:29.5

You see, to Diet Coke fans, Coke Zero is a creepy new lab concoction.

2:33.7

To Coke Zero fans, Diet Coke is a creepy new lab concoction. To Coke Zero fans, Diet Coke is a

2:36.1

Franken soda lab concoction. Yeah, you guys actually have more in common than you realize. So Coke is

2:41.8

promoting Coke Zero for barbecues baseball and first dates. That's the marketing play. While they're

2:46.1

pushing Diet Coke to the classy boomer crowd, who doesn't want to try out this new thing?

2:50.1

In the meantime, Pepsi is watching from the sidelines as its market share shrinks.

2:54.3

In the meantime, meantime, I'm having Diet Coke, but only at the movie theater.
