Good morning and welcome to Morning Glory. It's coming up to three minutes past six. I'm Mike Graham and we are here for the duration, ladies and gentlemen. It is Wednesday the 6th of August and the sun is out. There's a lovely sunrise actually going on. It's cheered us all up here at the world headquarters of Common Sense. We've been looking out at the great red ball as it rises in the east and gets ready to sort of soar over the city of London

and go and then set in the west where Heathrow Airport of course is the final destination.

The problem of course if you were trying to get to Heathrow Airport yesterday was that you couldn't.

The tunnel was shut.

Once again, a technical error according to those people didn't know.

Shut down the entire airport terminals,

two and three. And if you were trying to get to them by any means other than by train,

you simply couldn't. People were walking under ladders, people were walking under tunnels,

people were walking along the road. And once again, I think for two or three hours,

the whole airport was in absolute, and that's a chaos. I two or three hours, the whole airport was in absolutely

utter chaos. I mean, when is somebody going to stand up in this country and say, do you know

what? Nothing actually works at all. Can somebody please fix that? Instead of having old

Kirstama popping up every now and again, are fracturing the foundations. Never mind fixing

the bleeding foundations, mate. Can you just make sure the country does what it says on the tin, i.e. Welcome to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, where everything works, where you can get a train when he says it's going to go somewhere, where you can get in a car and you won't be stuck in traffic for the rest of your life, where you can actually, you know, manage to get a plane which doesn't land in Amsterdam

instead of London because they've shut down the airspace. Would you mind awfully just fixing

the country? Never mind about bloody Gaza, never mind about helping Ukraine, right? Can you mind helping

people who live in this country, in Britain, who were born here and who would like to pay their taxes and get something back in return. It's a simple question, it's a simple request. That's before we even talk about the news this morning. Theo, I should have here. Theo, very good morning to you. I'll see if you're going off on a rant completely about nothing in particular. But it's just like, for Christ's sake, can we just get somebody who knows how to run

anything, to run the bloody thing? Can we do that, please? Is that all right? Anyway, meanwhile,

migrants can use the rights laws, human rights laws, to evade deportation. So day one of the old
