We had some elections yesterday around the country.

The one that we focused the most attention on was the Supreme Court election,

actually primary election, Supreme Court primary election in the state of Wisconsin,

which as my colleague and co-host, Karega, has been explaining in a series of articles

is highly, highly consequential election, because well, for a couple of reasons,

as we know, presidential elections come down to Wisconsin, very big deal,

especially in the new era where who wins the vote is not necessarily the last word.

Are you going to have the state legislature come in and just pick someone else

or something like that?

So the Supreme Court is a big deal, but not only that, there's also the issue of state

gerrymandering, the gerrymandering of the state legislature in Wisconsin.

And as we've discussed on the site, and in a few earlier podcasts,

Wisconsin is the poster boy, not in a good way, for state gerrymandering in this era

of our politics.

As you know, Wisconsin is the archetypal 50-50 state in our era.
