Hi, this is Josh Marshall, and this is the Josh Marshall podcast.

We have, I'm here with my co-host Kate Riga, and you know, we have one of these periods.

I was just kind of, before we started the episode today, when we do that,

I try to kind of put together in my head, like, what's happening right now, right?

Like, where are we in the political news, in politics, between elections, stuff like that,

and usually it kind of comes to me pretty quickly, and then I do, you know,

a little kind of off-the-cuff rundown of stuff before we get into the show proper.

And this time I was thinking, you know, kind of, everything is going on right now,

but everything's kind of slowed down, and kind of not happening.

So, like, you know, we know that, we know that we're, you know,

there's a Republican nomination campaign coming up,

and everybody's kind of getting ready for it, but it hasn't really started yet, right?

And we know, you know, there are all these cases with Donald Trump,

legal case, you know, investigations with Donald Trump,

and a lot of them seem to be coming to a head, but they haven't yet.

Now, some of you are probably thinking kind of in this deep, self-wamping mode,

when nothing's ever going to happen, man, he gets away with everything anyway,
