Today's 10-minute walk is going to happen on the road, both literally and figuratively.

Dave and I are spending some time in Franklin, Tennessee.

It's about 20 miles south of Nashville.

We are staying at an Airbnb, which is a detached garage above.

It's a studio apartment above a detached garage, and I'm leaving the Airbnb now, walking down the driveway of the home where we are staying.

And we'll literally be walking on the road for maybe 15 seconds as I make my way to a traffic light

so I can cross at the light. I want to be safe. Of course, at the moment, I'm actually

walking in the road. This is a, I guess you could call it a highway. Speed limit is just past the traffic light is 40 miles an hour.

I think right here, before the traffic light, is 30 miles an hour.

Anyhow, it is early morning, and I am leaving the Airbnb to go get some coffee.

There's a Starbucks about a mile away.

And because it's a studio apartment, everything is one room.

And Ava sleeps much later than I do.
