We'd like to get right into it.

And what we're going to get into today is disappointment, crushed hopes, great unhappiness.

On the left about the Donald Trump indictment, great disappointment with the Donald Trump

indictment.

Go back a little bit, something really odd happened in the days leading up to the formal

indictment and arraignment of the former president in New York City.

Now during that time leading up to it, nobody outside a small group of prosecutors knew what

the actual indictment said.

It was sealed and we were having all these conversations about what was in the indictment

that nobody had seen.

Large, it just hours and hours and hours of talking about the indictment of Donald Trump

and nobody knew what Donald Trump had been indicted for.

Nevertheless, on the basis of leaks and there seemed to be a pretty good many of them,

as well as just indicators of what the grand jury was doing.

There were a number of observers who kind of sketched out what the indictment would

likely be.

And as the way they sketched it out, it looked really weak.

So as the days went by discussing the leaked contents of this, the critics noted that what

was expected to be the main charge of the indictment, which was falsification of business records,

as a misdemeanor and the two-year statute of limitations is long over.
