We'd like to get light into it and what we're going to get into today is events in Tennessee.

I'm sure you've heard about them.

What has been going on at the Tennessee House of Representatives?

Basically, the news is they spent all of Thursday debating the expulsion or proposed expulsion

of three of their own members.

These are all Democrats and they had hijacked the House floor, occupied it for nearly an

hour on March 30th.

They used a bullhorn to shout at and harang their fellow legislators and they were kind of

working in tandem with noisy protesters who had filled the galleries, which is all around

the floor looking down on the House floor, working in tandem with these crowds of protesters.

Now House Republicans in the Tennessee House hold a 75 to 24 majority, it's a big majority.

They filed a resolution to expel all three of these Democrats who had occupied the House,

stopping the House's business cold, using the bullhorn to drown out anything else.

They filed a resolution, these House Republicans, to expel the three.

They were Representative Gloria Johnson, Justin Jones, and Justin Pearson.

The charge was that they, quote, knowingly and intentionally, brought disorder and dishonor

to the House of Representatives through their individual and collective actions.

On Thursday came time to debate and vote this issue.

Now, there's absolutely no doubt that they brought disorder to the House.

I can't imagine anybody would disagree with that, started a little bit before 11 in the

morning.
