Hello and welcome to the Byron York Show, the no-chit chat podcast, and we like to get

right into it and what we're going to get into today, more, of course, on the indictment

of former President Donald Trump.

But maybe a step back from the events that you're watching unfold right now and a look

at one of the maybe motivations in the New York Manhattan District Attorney's Office

decision to indict the former President.

And if you want to give this a headline, I think it would be for prosecutor Alvin Bragg.

Trump indictment is a campaign promise kept.

Alvin Bragg, you know, he's the local district attorney in Manhattan.

He's led the effort to indict Trump.

He is an elected official, okay?

He ran for his current office in 2021.

There was a campaign.

He won a Democratic primary, which is the only thing that really matters in Manhattan.

He won the Democratic primary that was crowded with other Democrats and all of them promised

that if they were elected, they would go after Donald Trump.

So now, having been elected, Alvin Bragg is going after Donald Trump.

That's what's going on here.

Maybe you don't live in New York, I don't.

Maybe you haven't been following things, but getting Trump has been a common feature in

New York elections for law enforcement positions in the past several years.
