Wednesday night we continue our verse by verse chapter by chapter book by book study through the Bible.

So if you're new to 8th the Greek, that's the way we roll. And if you stick with us, it's just a small

commitment of about 15 years. You'll, you too can go through the whole Bible with us. And we're on our

third lap through the Bible in our 30 years of being a church.

We take a little bit of a smaller text on our Sunday morning from our upcoming Wednesday night service.

We're going to do that as well.

Now, one of the things we need to kind of see today is Jesus was largely rejected by the Jews.

They really expected a different kind of Messiah.

There was a tinge of acceptance when he was riding in on the cult of a donkey on Palm Sunday, and there was a small group of Messiah. There was a tinge of acceptance when he was riding in on the cult of a donkey on Palm Sunday,

and there was a small group of Jews yelling out, Hosanna, save now, blessed as he who comes in the name of the Lord.

But only a couple days later, the whole crowd was yelling, crucify him, we will not have this man

rule over us. And they despised him and rejected him. As you know, prophetically, it was called the stone

which the builders rejected. That's Jesus. But what's interesting is Jesus said that he would

include salvation to the Gentiles. The Book of Acts, we've seen that. If you've been following

it with us in the Book of Acts, now the Gentile church is really forming. Largely, the Jews are rejecting and even battling. We left,

last weekend, remember Paul was left stoned dead with rocks from Jews who hated him for preaching

the gospel of Jesus Christ. There were some Jews, however, that did believe. They became

part of the church. You see, in this new economy of God's plan, according to Ephesians 2, there's

three groups in the world. There's Jews, there's Gentiles, and then there's the church.
