Hi friends, I am Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four

books of the New Testament, the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories

of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the

miracles. Each month we get to read all four books and here we are today finishing the last

chapters 23 and 24 and this month I have loved reading from the NRSV Catholic edition.

Luke 23, then the assembly rose as a body and brought Jesus before Pilate. They began to accuse him

saying, we found this man perverting our nation for bidding us to pay taxes to the emperor

and saying that he himself is the Messiah, a king. Then Pilate asked him, are you the king of the Jews?
