books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories

of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the

miracles. Each month we get to read all four books. So make sure you're subscribed. Join

us as we read the Gospels together since it is day 29. We've got just a couple of days

left before we start again on November 1st. Just a reminder, every month we read for

today. You can listen or read along in your own Bible. And then I'll pray. And that's

it. Today is October 29th. And I'll be reading Luke chapters 20 through 22. And this month

I'm reading from the NRSV Catholic edition. Luke 20. One day as he was teaching the people

in the temple and telling the good news, the chief priests and the scribes came with the

elders and said to him, tell us by what authority are you doing these things? Who is it? Who

gave you this authority? He answered them. I will also ask you a question and you tell

me, did the baptism of John come from heaven or was it a human origin? They discussed it

with one another saying, if we say from heaven, he will say, why did you not believe him?

But if we say of human origin, all the people will stone us for they are convinced that

John was a prophet. So they answered that they did not know where it came from. Then
