For the last, I don't know, 10, 11 months, how long has it been?

It's been 200 shows. Whatever that works out to be.

And we had Jane Strauss on in the first hour and we're trying to kind of dance with who brung us tonight.

We're bringing you some of the people and the topics that really kind of established what TBTL was going to be all about even in the early days.

And you know, one of the segments that we did that is cited very often to me when I run into people and I talk about the show with them is the conversation that we had about the karate.

Rangers are all around us, practicing their deadly art of invisibility.

In fact, this even dissegment that we're going to play you some excerpts from in a moment, it actually predates the show.

I mean the idea for it, before we had a radio show, like I think I was in New York.

I really think I was like in New York on the phone at my old job at my old desk.

When you quit one job, but then you're trying to line the next one up and then you're using the old job's phone.

That's shady. And Jen, you and I were talking about the kinds of things that we wanted to talk about on this show.

And we said we wanted to take a really almost academic approach to things that are kind of shallow, seeming and ephemeral.

And one of them was the karate kid.

Right, and that kind of became the example we always gave when we were pitching the show to our boss ride our cat.

We brought that up, you know.
