Donald Trump hasn't won the election yet, but his orbit is a Twitter right now with whispers about who his next chief of staff is going to be.

That's, of course, if he wins on Election Day. We keep hearing three names over and over again, Susie

Wiles, Kevin McCarthy, and Brooke Rollins. And here to break all this down with me and talk about

the jockeying behind the scenes is our own Meredith McGrath, who covers Trump world and has for a long

time. Hey, Meredith. Hey there, Rachel. I have to say, you know, a lot of people are telling me right now

that if Susie Wiles wants this job, it's probably have to say, you know, a lot of people are telling me right now that if Susie

Wiles wants this job, it's probably hers. Obviously, she is running Trump's campaign. She's gotten a lot of

sort of plaudits for being able to limit the drama that typically comes in Trump orbit.

What are your thoughts on Susie? Well, like you said, if Trump can pull off this win in a few

weeks, she is really going to be vaulted to a top position in Washington. And she got her start

in Republican politics as actually a scheduler in the Reagan White House. And she has had a long political

career not only in Washington, but then in Florida. But when she came on in early 2021, it was really

at a low point for Trump. And I think the former president has always respected that, that she was willing to sign up with him at that moment.

And she's been with him ever since.

She has a really loyal following of people around her, including folks on the campaign.

But the big question would be if she would actually want the job. You know,

when you think about a Trump chief of staff, he cycled through four over the course of

four years, you know, Ryan Trebus, John Kelly, Mick Mulvaney, Mark Meadows. And, you know,

they're each so very different. But I think if you are somebody eyeing a job in the White House, the chief of staff can be a really tricky one to maneuver, especially with Donald Trump.

Yeah. And all those former, maybe not all, a lot of the former chiefs, not exactly on good terms with the ex-boss.
