Good morning. I'm playbook co-author U.D. Daniels. It is Wednesday, October 23rd. Here is what's driving the day.

First of, former Trump White House chief of staff, John Kelly, is in multiple stories this morning, kind of making a splash. The first one is in the

New York Times where he talked to Mike Schmidt multiple times in different interviews,

expressing concerns he's talked about behind the scenes, behind closed doors, about former

President Trump, his former boss.

Here are some of the excerpts from the interviews.

The first, Kelly says, that Trump meets the definition of a, quote, fascist.

Kelly says that Trump, quote, certainly prefers the dictator approach to government,

and that Trump never accepted the

fact that he wasn't the most powerful man in the world. And by power, I mean inability to do

anything he wanted, any time he wanted. Kelly said Trump was, quote, certainly the only president

that has all but rejected what America is about

and what makes America America.

In terms of our Constitution, in terms of our values, the way we look at everything to include

family and government.

He's certainly the only president that I know of, certainly in my lifetime, that was like that.

The New York Times says that a spokesman for Trump's campaign

assailed Kelly in a statement calling his accounts of his time in the White House, quote, debunked

stories and saying Kelly had, quote, be clowned himself. And another story that Kelly is in is in the Atlantic. It chronicles the

promise Trump made as president in 2020 to pay for the burial of a service member from Fort

Texas who was killed. Months later, Trump asked his team if they were billed for the funeral. What did it cost?
