Langdon Quinn is a native of Atlanta, Georgia.

He lives in the Hudson Valley east of Troy, New York

and spends several months of the year in Central

Italy.

So you might remember hearing his name on this podcast before, and that's because a few weeks

ago I had the pleasure of interviewing his wife Karen Canier about her

painting and her collage work. Also Kathleen Speranza talks about how much Langdon inspired

her painting at Boston University. Langdon is a representational painter who has exhibited widely,

both nationally and internationally,

since receiving his MFA and painting from Yale University in 1976. His imagery is derived from both observation and

invention. His subjects are landscape interiors figure and still life or

combinations thereof.
