Gary Thomas says, when you follow God's plan and cherish your spouse, even when it's hard,

it will lead to joy.

When I learn to choose to delight and to celebrate and exultant and to cherish, I did it out of obedience,

but I didn't realize how blessed I would be doing that.

Whenever we do out of obedience what God calls us to do, we're always blessed by it. Obedience is always the sweetest path.
