Gary Thomas entered marriage focused on receiving love from his wife.

Then, God flipped his thinking.

God convinced me my greatest need wasn't to be loved.

My greatest need was to learn how to love.

And when I became convinced of that, I stopped resenting some of the challenges of marriage

and started appreciating how that struggle could have a great spiritual purpose.
