We have breaking news this morning on the Zeranman Dani, Kathy Hokel, Tax the Rich Front.

Remember, there's a stalemate in Albany right now over this and a few other

consequential things. The state budget was due on April 1st when the new fiscal year began for the state.

So today, it's a full two weeks late. So here's the breaking news.

Late yesterday, it's being reported, Governor Hokel said she will now propose a tax on some

specific rich people.

It would be in the form of a so-called pietater tax, that is a tax on second homes,

certain very high end, second homes, located in New York City.

It would be an annual tax on those homes. WNYC and Gothamist

the same money for child care and other priorities as the broader tax on the wealthiest that

Mayo Mamdani has proposed. But wait, there is more.

The real biggest sticking points are about car insurance,
